Bonnie + Gideon’s Courthouse Micro Wedding in Vancouver, Washington
Bonnie and Gideon’s courthouse micro wedding in downtown Vancouver, Washington was intimate, vintage-inspired, and full of personal details.
They were married with their daughter Meadow by their side, surrounded by a small group of close family and friends. The day felt simple in the best way: relaxed, meaningful, and focused on the people who mattered most. There was no packed timeline or pressure to make the day feel bigger than it needed to be. Just a courthouse ceremony, time with their closest people, and space to document the little details that made the day feel like theirs.
Bonnie’s bridal look had such a beautiful vintage feel. Her wedding dress was a thrifted find, along with her ring and shoes, and the whole look felt effortless without feeling overly styled. Her flowers were colorful, unique, and a little whimsical, which gave the day a vibrant contrast against the clean lines and architecture of the courthouse.
A Downtown Vancouver Courthouse Wedding With Vintage Details
Courthouse weddings have a way of bringing everything back to the reason people are there in the first place. For Bonnie and Gideon, the focus was their marriage, their daughter, and the small circle of people who showed up to celebrate with them.
Their downtown Vancouver courthouse wedding was photographed in a relaxed, documentary-inspired way with true-to-color editing and a cinematic feel. We made time for family photos, couple portraits, detail images, and candid moments with Meadow and their guests. Even with a smaller one-hour wedding session, there was still room to tell the story of the day in a way that felt complete.
That is one of the things I love most about courthouse micro weddings. They do not need to be complicated to be meaningful. When the timeline is intentional and the couple is focused on the experience, a shorter session can still hold so much.
