Senior photos do not need to involve an hour of awkward smiling while somebody tells your kid to tilt their chin another half inch. The goal is to make photographs that actually look like the person you raised.
Some seniors show up ready to model. Some would rather be literally anywhere else. Most are somewhere in the middle, and I can work with all of them. We’ll choose locations and outfits around their personality, interests, sports, style and how much variety they actually want. I’ll give them enough direction that they never have to wonder what to do with their hands, without turning the whole session into a rigid pose list.
I photograph seniors throughout Vancouver, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, Camas and the Portland area, with options for simple local sessions or more adventurous locations throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Every senior session includes guidance with location planning, outfit direction, posing, and a final edited gallery. The right package depends on how much variety you want, how many outfits you’re planning, and whether you want one simple location or a more customized senior portrait experience.
Milestone Marvels
A straightforward senior session for someone who wants beautiful, personality-driven photos without turning it into an all-afternoon production.
Plan on about one hour of photography, which gives us enough time for a strong variety of portraits while keeping the session simple and easy. This is a great fit for seniors who have a clear vision, want one general location, and don't need a ton of outfit or scenery changes.
Best for: a classic senior session with plenty of variety without making a whole day out of it.

Scholar Snapshots
My most popular senior package, and the one I recommend for seniors who want their gallery to show more than one side of who they are.
Scholar Snapshots allows for 3–4 outfits and two locations within approximately 20 miles of one another. I block off the afternoon so we aren't staring at the clock while trying to fit sports photos, something editorial, a favorite outfit, golden-hour portraits and whatever other ideas your senior has managed to add to the Pinterest board by then.
This gives us significantly more freedom to change scenery, styling and mood throughout the session while still keeping the whole gallery cohesive.
Best for: seniors who want multiple outfits, different settings and a gallery with a lot of visual variety.

Senior Portrait Sessions That Feel Like You
Senior photos should feel like your student, not like a copy-and-paste pose list. Some seniors want something confident and editorial. Some want something soft, natural, and low-key. Some are athletes, artists, outdoor kids, musicians, or students who just want to get through photos without feeling awkward.
My job is to guide the session enough that your senior never feels lost, while still leaving room for real personality, movement, and expression. I’ll help with posing, location flow, and small adjustments along the way so the final gallery feels natural, polished, and personal.

Best Senior Photo Locations Near Vancouver WA
Vancouver has a lot of variety for senior photos, which makes it easy to choose a location that actually fits your student’s personality. Downtown Vancouver works well for seniors who want a more modern, urban look. The Columbia River Waterfront is a good fit for clean, open portraits with water, bridges, and sunset light. Battle Ground and Ridgefield are great for fields, trees, trails, and a more natural Pacific Northwest feel. What to Wear for Senior Pictures
Most seniors do best with two or three outfits: one that feels casual and comfortable, one that feels a little more polished, and one that shows personality. That might be a dress, jeans and a favorite top, a letterman jacket, a sports uniform, college sweatshirt, boots, or something tied to a hobby.
The most important thing is that the outfits feel like your senior. Avoid choosing something only because it looks good on Pinterest. Senior photos work better when the clothing matches the person wearing it.

When to Book Your Senior Photos
For high school seniors, late summer and early fall are usually the most popular times to book, especially if you want warm weather, golden light, and photos ready for announcements or yearbook deadlines. Spring can also be a good option if you want flowers, greenery, or cap and gown photos closer to graduation.
If your school has a strict yearbook deadline, it is better to book earlier than you think you need to. That gives us time to plan the session, photograph it, edit the gallery, and make sure you have the images you need.
